(Sports Network) - Ryan Lindley threw for 387 yards and a pair of touchdowns, as the San Diego State Aztecs downed the UNLV Rebels, 42-21, in Mountain West Conference action at Qualcomm Stadium.

Lindley completed 35-of-50 tosses for SDSU (2-10, 1-7 MWC), which snapped a seven-game slide. Vincent Brown was his main target with eight receptions for 119 yards, while Alston Umuolo had the same amount of catches for 74 yards. Atiyyah Henderson added five receptions for 54 yards and a score and he also paced the team with 64 rushing yards on 18 carries.

Mike Clausen led the way for UNLV (5-7, 2-6) by throwing for 316 yards and a pair of touchdowns, although he was also intercepted twice. His primary outlet was clearly Ryan Wolfe, who snared 11 passes for 144 yards and both scores.

UNLV opened the scoring with a 33-yard touchdown pass from Clausen to Wolfe early in the first quarter.

The Aztecs responded just over two minutes later, as Lindley tossed a six-yard score to DeMarco Sampson.

Tyler Campbell's one-yard touchdown run late in the second quarter gave SDSU a 14-7 lead at the break.

The Aztecs added to their lead behind a Darren Mougey three-yard touchdown run late in the third quarter.

With 17 seconds left in the third period, UNLV made it a 21-14 game courtesy of a one-yard touchdown run by Channing Trotter.

SDSU pushed its lead back to 14 points early in the final frame, as Lindley hooked up with Henderson on a 12-yard scoring play.

UNLV, though, countered less than two minutes later with a 24-yard touchdown pass from Clausen to Wolfe.

With just over four minutes left, Campbell rumbled seven yards for a touchdown to give SDSU a 35-21 lead.

The Aztecs' Corey Boudreaux capped the scoring with an 82-yard interception return for a touchdown late in the contest.

SDSU gained 479 total yards in the game, while also forcing UNLV into three turnovers.
