After nearly a decade at 10News, Lauren has covered thousands of stories form the heart-warming to the heart breaking. Some of the more memorable events she's covered include the aftermath of the Sept. 11 terror attacks, the school shootings at Columbine High School.

Her reporting during the October Firestorm of 2003 earned awards for spot news coverage and for following the life of one family that lost everything in the fire. She's covered downtown San Diego's redevelopment from the beginning of the building boom, earning an Emmy for a report on the turn-around back in 1995.

Lauren grew up in Los Angeles, but moved to San Diego in 1990 to attend UCSD. That's when she fell in love with San Diego, and vowed to return and get a job here.

After graduating she spent two years in the Midwest and returned to San Diego in 1996. She's now married and has two sons.

Her favorite time is spent with her very large family. She has 12 aunts and uncles and is the oldest of 45 first cousins.
