Los Angeles, CA -- (Sports Network) - The Colorado Avalanche placed center Ben Guite on injured reserve Saturday, retroactive to November 10, with a rib injury.

Guite has played in nine games this season, notching two goals and two assists.

In a corresponding roster move, the club recalled right wing Brian Willsie from Lake Erie of the American Hockey League. He led the Monsters with eight goals, 14 points and a plus-7 rating at the time of his promotion.
